We bought this for our 3-year-old son, who had to have a Vader mask. He had lot's of room to grow into this suit, since it's meant for kids a bit older. While the rest of the costume is surprisingly high-quality(the upper body suit and cape along with the light saber that does light up), the mask is terrible and quite uncomfortable for my son since it pinches the nose a bit too much. It left imprints after a couple of minutes. The main issue is that the eyes are so blurry he can't see where he's going. He's had it for a month, but still doesn't like it as much as the cheap batman suit we bought him for halloween, since they feel more like pajamas and have a soft mask.
Pros: The suit/cape and sword are high quality
Cons: The mask is poorly made, difficult to see out of and can pinch the upper nose
If you have a die-hard Star Wars fan who will care, then buy the costume separately and find a better mask if possible. Look around and you'll see they typically come individually.

If you have a Star Wars lover in your house then this is a great buy! I bought this for my 5-year old son and he got so much use out of it! The great part was that he could put it on by himself! The seams have all held up very well and the light saber, though basic really completes the costume. The mask gets a little hot but lifts up easily since it's only a face mask. Hours and hours of pretend play!
