This robe is great! I was a bit worried about the size because it is sized 4 to 6, but reccommended for 3 to 5 year olds. My son is 5 and average height and it is even a bit long for him. I am very pleased with the sturdiness of the robe and I think it will hold up very well!

I bought this robe for my son who is a big Harry Potter Fan. The robe is well constructed, though maybe a bit thick and warm. It is made of some type of fleece material. Though warm, my son wore it nearly a week straight! In June! I am pleased with the construction. The only thing that does not hold well are the "buttons" that clamp on to the robe. They come off too easily which frustrates my son as he wants to look like Harry, Ron and Hermione. Otherwise, it is a very good deal and I expect it to last through some rough play. I bought the glasses also and they seem to be holding together as well. I did not buy the tie as I was afraid that my son would get it caught and it would become a noose. I have bought clip on ties instead.

This costume is awesome. I don't know why some people were saying it was made of cheap material. It's made of a very nice, thick and durable material and my daughter wears it everywhere, including when she's climbing trees and rolling on the ground (yes, she has quite the imagination). Perhaps, the manufacturer started making them a little better after seeing some of the earlier reviews (I don't know). But, it's a nice-looking costume and very well-made, ESPECIALLY for the price. I think I got mine for under $25. Oh, my daughter is, well, a little "petite" so we had to take up the bottom a little so it didn't drag. Even though the material is nice and thick, it was easy to hem it up (only took a couple minutes). Also, I ordered it 3 days before Christmas and used the standard shipping and got it on Christmas Eve (in 2 days), so speedy delivery too. Great buy!

The fabric has a nice feel to it though I was expecting the inside to be more of a maroon color. It is much lighter and definately pink. The clasp that holds it together at the top, doesn't stay on, but I plan to sew on a button and loop. I'm quite disappointed with the quality. It surely doesn't seem to be worth $30. But, my son doesn't seem bothered by its shortcomings.

I bought this product because I was too busy to go to Target and get the crappy "wear once and throw away" version. This robe was the envy of my son's Harry Potter fan friends. It was even warm enough that we didn't have to make our son wear a jacket to trick or treat (we live in San Francisco, so this might not apply to you poor folks in colder climes).
As other reviewers mentioned, it does run a bit small. Also, it shrinks up a bit after washing. So order a size or two larger. Did I mention that we washed it? When was the last time a Halloween costume lasted long enough to need washing? My son still wears it around the house on chilly days.
Great value and my kid loves it still.
